Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case took a different turn since the late actor’s father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and five others at Patna Police Station. Many celebrities and the actor’s fans have been requesting for a CBI probe in the case and on Thursday finally, the CBI took over the case for investigation. Based on reports, the CBI has registered FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi in connection to the case. Reportedly, the ‘Jalebi’ actress is anticipated to be questioned by the ED today in connection to the money laundering case regarding SSR’s death. On August 2, the Enforcement Directorate has also questioned the late actor’s Chartered Accountant and Rhea’s CA on August 4. Krishna Kishore Singh, the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s father has claimed that Rs 17 crore was there in Sushant’s account in 2019. He also added that Rs 15 crore was later transferred from his account to accounts that was not linked to the actor. K.K Singh also lodged a complaint against the ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ accusing her of having full control on his son’s life and taking Rs 15 crore from SSR. The ‘Sonali Cable’ actress and her five other acquaintances have been booked by the Bihar Police under Indian Penal Code Sections. These include Section 306 (Abetment of suicide), Sec 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), Sec 342 (Punishment for wrongful confinement), Sec 380 (Theft in dwelling house), Sec 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust), and Sec 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property). After the FIR was filed against the actress at Bihar Police Station, Rhea filed a petition in Supreme Court to transfer the case from Patna to Mumbai. But on Wednesday, the SC denied any interim protection for the actress and the Centre accepted Bihar government’s request for a CBI investigation in the death case. The ‘Chhichhore’ actor was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14 and the reason of his death still remains unknown. Watch this space for the latest updates.
