New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was allegedly found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020, in an unfortunate turn of events. Since then, the death case of the ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor has been under investigation and is currently being probed by three central agencies – CBI, NCB and ED.

While investigating the death case, CBI got hold of a drug link which incited the entry of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) into the case. Since then, the central investigating agency has been probing the case as reportedly, the SSR death case gave rise to a link of alleged consumption of drugs in the film industry. The agency has made a number of arrests in the case including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and other drug peddlers.

The agency also nabbed Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani, who was very close to him. According to reports, the NCB arrested Siddharth after they found alleged link of Pithani with drug peddlers. Siddharth Pithani got arrested by the agency earlier this year in the month of May and since then, Pithani has filed for bail a number of times which got rejected by the court.

Now, according to a report of Times Of India, Siddharth Pithani will file for a bail in the case again and this might happen this week only. Siddharth’s lawyer Taraq Sayyed told ETimes, “We will be applying for bail after the charge sheet is filed and it could be this week.”

Meanwhile, Siddharth Pithani was granted bail for his marriage earlier this year, but he had to surrender himself a few days after his wedding.
