While Govinda has chosen to remain tight-lipped, Sunita has been more vocal in addressing the speculation, firmly denying any trouble in their marriage and asking fans not to jump to conclusions.

Fuel was added to the fire when eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Sunita had dropped ‘Ahuja’ from her Instagram handle and altered the spelling of her first name by adding an extra 's'. This led many to believe that the couple might be heading for a split. However, in a recent conversation with 'Times of India', Sunita laughed off the buzz and explained that the changes were made purely due to numerological advice.

“I removed Ahuja and added an extra s in my first name,” she said, clarifying that the update to her social media profile took place nearly a year ago. She attributed the change to numerology, adding that it was meant to bring her more recognition. When asked whether it worked, Sunita admitted it did. “I have gone viral in the last few months and I’m all over the internet,” she pointed out.

Despite the online adjustments, she was clear that her legal and personal identity remains unchanged. “I am and will always be an Ahuja,” she asserted, adding that the only time her surname would be dropped is “when I leave the world.”

Sunita also took a firm stand against divorce speculations, reiterating that all is well between her and the veteran actor. She urged people not to believe in hearsay unless something concrete comes directly from her or Govinda.

Sunita on rumours of Govinda's extramarital affair

Earlier, in a candid interview with Zoom, she addressed the gossip surrounding their relationship, including unfounded talks of extramarital affairs. “Jis din confirm hoga, ya mere aur Govinda ke mu se aap log sunoge, vo alag baat hai. But I don’t think Govinda can live without me, nor can I live without Govinda. And Govinda can never leave his family for any stupid person or stupid woman. Afwaah, afwaah, afwaah, aap pehle pucho toh ki ye baat sahi hai. I will never accept it, aur kisi ka himmat hai toh mere samne aake pucho,” she had said.

Govinda and Sunita have been married since 1986 and are proud parents to two children—Yashvardhan and Tina. Despite the swirling gossip, their public stance remains united and unshaken.
