Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Day 7: Prabhas-Starrer Surpasses Rs 700 Crore Globally, Becomes Second Highest Hindi Grosser Of 2024

Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection: Nag Ashwin’s film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which was released in theatres a week ago, has surpassed the Rs 700 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The Prabhas-starrer dystopian sci-fi film opened with Rs 95.3 crore nett in India. Since the film's release, Kalki 2899 AD's box office collection in India has decreased by 75%. The film's net collection at the domestic box office now stands at Rs 393.4 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

The film released in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. The Telugu version of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ earned in Rs 202.8 crore in its first week of release. Meanwhile, the Hindi version earned Rs 152.5 crore, making it the second highest grossing Hindi film this year.

According to Bollywood Hungama reports, the Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Fighter’ tops the list with Rs 199.45 crore. Kalki 2898 AD has surpassed Ajay Devgn's ‘Shaitaan’, which has a net collection of Rs 149.49 crore. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ seems to be heading towards becoming the highest-grossing Hindi movie of the year.

Highest-grossing Indian film worldwide

While ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is aiming to become the most-grossing Indian film of 2024, Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ remains the biggest worldwide Indian film. The film earned Rs 2070 crore after its release in China. Next, Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali 2’ made Rs 1788 crore, and the SS Rajamouli directorial ‘RRR’ collected Rs 1230 crore during its lifetime run.
