While the exact reasons for the delay were not disclosed, industry insiders speculate that the rescheduling might be linked to the release of Vidaa Muyarchi, the Ajith Kumar-starrer directed by Magizh Thirumeni, which is also slated for February 7.
Star-studded cast and production team
NEEK boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan. The film also marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier.
Produced under Dhanush’s banner Wunderbar Films by his parents, Kasthoori Raja and Vijayalakshmi Kasthoori Raja, the film features music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Leon Britto, and editing by G. K. Prasanna.
Special appearances and musical highlights
Dhanush himself will make a special appearance in a song, adding to the excitement surrounding the project. Actress Priyanka Arul Mohan also features in a guest role, appearing in the already popular song "Golden Sparrow." The peppy number has become a massive hit, with its lyrical video amassing an impressive 133 million views on YouTube.
