Sonam Kapoor Explains Why Bringing A Child To The World Is A ‘Very Selfish Decision’

New Delhi: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja welcomed a baby boy on August 20. The couple made the announcement through their social media accounts with a small note. Soon after the announcement, fashion magazine Vogue unveiled its latest cover featuring pregnant Sonam Kapoor posing in an unbuttoned shirt. Sonam is seen caressing her baby bump in the picture as she smiles for the camera. The actress also opened up about how her life will change after baby. 

Sonam told Vogue, “Priorities do change and I think that the child will become mine. The truth of the matter is that they didn’t choose to come into this world. You decided to bring them here, so it’s a very selfish decision.” 

On Saturday, Sonam announced the good news on her Instagram. The post read as, "On 28.02.2022, we welcomed our baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends, and family, who have supported us on this journey. Its only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed. Sonam and Anand."

As soon as Sonam shared the announcement on Instagram, many celebs filled the comments section of the post with congratulatory messages. Actress Dia Mirza extended her wishes to the couple and wrote, "Congratulations and all our love and blessings to the little one ❤️🐯" 

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who is a close friend of Rhea and featured alongside Sonam Kapoor in the film 'Veere Di Wedding', shared a picture of the new parents Sonam and Anand on her Instagram story as she congratulated the couple.
