On Sunday, Karan Johar paid a heart-touching tribute to the actor on the ongoing 'Bigg Boss OTT'. A tribute was presented in the form of a video of Sidharth Shukla's moments in the Bigg Boss house during the 13th season.
A grief-stricken Karan Johar was seen visibly choking as the video played out. Karan Johar spoke about the late actor and what he meant to his fans, friends and family. He said, “Sidharth Shukla, ek aisa chehra, ek aisa naam jo hum sabki zindagi ka ek ahem hissa ban gaya tha. Bigg Boss family ke favourite member, jo mere hi nahi balki humari industry ke anginat logon ke dost achanak hum sab ko chhod kar chale gaye (Sidharth Shukla, a face, a name that became an important part of all our lives. The favourite member of the Bigg Boss family, who was a friend to me and countless others from our industry, suddenly left us).” The video is being widely shared by fans on social media.
While trying to hold back his tears as he spoke, Karan Johar said that he was numb after hearing the news. He said, “This is something we are all still finding hard to believe. It is like I am numb, I can't even believe it. Sid was a good son, a great friend and just an amazing guy to be around and be with. His positive vibe and his smile, that smile, won so many millions of hearts,” he added.
Karan Johar further said that Sidharth Shukla's crores of fans were proof that he was a lovable person. “You shall be missed, Sidharth Shukla. We will miss you.”
Addressing the audience, he said, “You and I, we all need great strength to carry on the show. But the show must go on,” adding that it was what Sidharth Shukla would have wanted too. On a related note, Sidharth made his debut in Bollywood in 2014 with Karan’s production, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
