Shilpa Shetty Gets Injured While Shooting, Says She Took The Phrase 'Break A Leg' Literally

Shilpa Shetty on Wednesday informed her followers and fans that she injured her leg while shooting for the upcoming Prime Video series "Indian Police Force".

New Delhi: Shilpa Shetty on Wednesday informed her followers and fans that she injured her leg while shooting for the upcoming Prime Video series "Indian Police Force". Shilpa posted a photo sitting in a wheelchair wearing a cast on her leg.

"They said, Roll camera action - 'break a leg!' I took it literally (sic)," she captioned a picture of hers sitting in a wheelchair with a cast on her left leg as she flashed a victory sign.

The actor is seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue denim jacket and pants.

Shilpa, who was last seen in the action-comedy film 'Nikamma', said she has been advised to rest for six weeks by the doctors.

"Out of action for 6 weeks, but I'll be back soon stronger and better. Till then, dua mein yaad rakhiyega. Prayers always work," she added.

Reacting to the post, her sister Shamita Shetty commented, "My munki strongest."

Directed and produced by Rohit Shetty, "Indian Police Force" is headlined by "Shershaah" star Sidharth Malhotra, who plays a Delhi Police officer in the show. It also features Vivek Oberoi.

The action series is part of Rohit's already successful cop universe comprising four blockbuster films - "Singham" and "Singham 2" with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh-starrer "Simmba" and Akshay Kumar-led "Sooryavanshi".

Recently, Shilpa Shetty spoke to IANS at length about stardom and its negative side. "Fame is a double-edged sword but you have to appreciate it and the cons are something that you need to take in your stride... It would be the end of your career or stint in the industry if people allow you to eat 'pani puri' without bothering you, I would say that would be something that would be worrisome."

Shilpa said she is "grateful for all the love and appreciation".

She added: "It does get a little daunting where people don't know when to draw the line because we are not monkeys in a zoo, we are here to entertain and I have heartfelt gratitude for all the love that comes my way.

"But sometimes when you have worked very hard and you try to a take a break with your family and sometimes when you are at the airport and you are holding your two-year-old's hand and somebody just comes in and wants a selfie.. It is scary sometimes but otherwise, it is all the part and parcel of the fame game."
