Prabhas Starrer 'Radhe Shyam' Gets Postponed After 'RRR' As Theatres Shut Down Following COVID-19 Protocols
The makers of the film took to social media to announce the postponement.
New Delhi: January 2022 was supposed to be the month of some big blockbusters movies of the south industry that were going to be released in the hindi version also. But, the new COVID-19 protocols being brought into force following the rising cases, led to the postponement of these films.
With the announcement of the shutting down of cinema halls, the makers of 'Radhe Shyam' have postponed the release date which was supposed to be January 13, 2022. The film stars actors Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in this romantic love saga.
The makers of the film took to social media to announce the postponement. Sharing a post on Instagram, the makers wrote,"A little more wait to witness the biggest story of Love vs Destiny. We have to postpone the release of our film Radhe Shyam due to the ongoing Covid situation. Our sincere thanks to all the fans for your unconditional love and support. We will see you in cinemas soon."

The first to postpone the release date were the makers of Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Jersey' that was supposed to release on December 31, 2021. Then came in line Rajamouli's epic drama 'RRR' starring Junior NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The film was slated for a January 7, 2022 release. Recently, the maKers of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Prithviraj' also postponed the release of the film which was supposed to hit theatres on January 21, 2022.
While last year in 2021, several films released on different OTT platforms, the makers of these big-budget movies are willing to shelve the films for a theatrical release as they promise a huge box-office collection.
