Priyanka Chopra Reacts To Fake Viral Post: Urges Fans To Think Before Sharing

Priyanka Chopra Jonas refuted a fabricated quote attributed to her online, urging followers to verify information before believing it.

In a digital era dominated by AI-generated content and viral misinformation, celebrities often find themselves misrepresented by fake quotes and deepfake media. This week, Priyanka Chopra Jonas became the latest public figure to call out such falsehoods, taking a firm stand against a fabricated quote circulating online.

Fake Quote Goes Viral, Priyanka Sets the Record Straight

The misinformation originated from a social media post by The Brief India, which falsely attributed a quote to Priyanka that read:
“Don't look for a virgin as wife. Get a woman with good manners. Virginity ends in one night but manners last forever.”

Wasting no time, Priyanka addressed the fake claim via her Instagram Stories.

“This is not me, my quote or my voice. Just because it's online, doesn't make it true. Creating fake content is now an easy way to achieve virality,” she wrote.

Priyanka Urges Followers to Cross-Check Before Believing

The actor further encouraged her followers to approach viral content with caution and critical thinking.

“None of the links or ‘sources’ attached to this claim, or many others online, are real or credible. Take a minute to cross-check such content and don't believe everything you scroll past. Stay safe online,” she advised.

Fans Applaud Her Stand Against Online Misinformation

Priyanka’s direct and unapologetic response drew widespread praise on Reddit and other platforms.

One user commented, “Good on her for calling them out!” while another echoed, “More celebs should call this shit out. Especially Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy. I'm so tired of seeing their quotes in front of 'dark' edgy text they obviously never said.”

However, some users speculated on the timing of her clarification. One remarked, “Good that she called it out, but isn't it obvious it's fake? Or maybe she has a movie coming out?”

Priyanka in Action-Comedy 'Heads of State'

Whether her statement was prompted by principle or an upcoming promotional push, it's worth noting that Priyanka is set to star in Heads of State, an action-comedy featuring Idris Elba and John Cena. Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the film promises high-octane entertainment, and her visibility in the spotlight is likely to increase as the release nears.
