Paresh Rawal Reacts To Trolls Mocking His Urine Therapy Revelation: 'People Enjoy...'

Paresh Rawal breaks his silence on the backlash over his 40-year-old unconventional recovery method involving urine therapy.

Veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, known for his sharp comic timing and powerful performances, recently found himself at the centre of an unexpected controversy, and he’s not holding back in his response. The uproar began when Rawal revealed in an old interview that he had once consumed his own urine as part of a recovery regimen following a leg injury.

Now, after facing online trolling and criticism, Paresh Rawal has responded in his signature no-nonsense style. In a new interview with Bollywood Hungama, he shrugged off the backlash, saying with humour: “I haven’t offered them (urine), right? Or are they having a problem because I didn’t offer them? Are they feeling, 'Yaar yeh akele pee gaye aur humko nahin diya?!’"

The actor explained that the incident took place four decades ago, and he simply shared a real-life experience. "It’s an incident of my life that took place 40 years ago. Woh maine bol diya. Usme kya ho gaya? People enjoy making a mountain out of a molehill. Karne do unko mazaa!," he said.

He added that many people had reached out to him after the statement, though he didn’t go into details.

What was Paresh Rawal's Urine Drinking Statement?

For context, the comments stem from Paresh Rawal’s earlier chat with The Lallantop, where he opened up about sustaining a serious knee fracture. During his hospital stay, action director Veeru Devgan, father of Ajay Devgn, visited and suggested an unorthodox but supposedly effective remedy, "Subah uthkar apna pehla urine peena, sab fighter log yeh hi karte hain."

Despite the oddity of the suggestion, Paresh claimed that within just 15 days, he experienced dramatic improvement, surprising even his doctors. He was back at work a month later, much ahead of the expected recovery timeline.

While the internet was quick to mock the actor, many also stood by his right to share personal experiences, no matter how unusual they sound.
