Panchayat Season 4: After winning over audiences across the country with its grounded storytelling and subtle humour, Panchayat is set to make a much-awaited comeback with Season 4.
Panchayat Season 4 release date
The popular village drama returns on July 2 with all eight episodes premiering exclusively on Prime Video. Set in the fictional village of Phulera, 'Panchayat' has grown from a sleeper hit into one of India’s most adored series. Its sharp take on rural life, politics, relationships, and personal dilemmas struck a chord with audiences, and the stakes are about to get higher in the new chapter.
What to expect from Panchayat Season 4?
Jitendra Kumar reprises his role as Abhishek Tripathi, the reluctant panchayat secretary whose job has taken him from city life into the heart of village politics. This time around, he finds himself navigating more than just files and forms — expect intense political rivalries, unresolved love stories, and power shifts that could shake Phulera to its core.
Returning alongside him are fan-favourites Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Raghubir Yadav as the spirited Pradhan Ji, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha — all of whom have become synonymous with their characters.
The new season picks up where the last one left off — with tension running high after Pradhan Ji was shot. As elections loom closer, the political battlefield in Phulera gets fiercer, especially with the return of Bhushan aka Banrakas, whose feud with Pradhan Ji remains a ticking time bomb.
Director Deepak Kumar Mishra on Season 4
Director Deepak Kumar Mishra hinted at more drama, saying, “Season one was more intimate, centered on emotions and objects. By season two, the narrative expanded... Bhushan aka Banrakas rose naturally—driven by the plot and my own fondness for him. And yes, Bhushan vs Pradhanji is far from over!”
Rinki and Sachiv ji's romance
Expectations are high not just because of the political intrigue. One subplot fans have long speculated about — the budding romance between Abhishek and Rinki (played by Sanvikaa) — is also expected to take a more prominent turn. With Rinki’s parents, Pradhan Ji and Manju Devi, likely catching wind of the growing closeness, how they react will be one of the emotional highlights this season.
Writer Chandan Kumar reflected on the journey so far: “Each season is like peeling a new layer of an onion — what appears simple on the surface carries many emotions and complex dynamics underneath.”
Panchayat Season 4 is produced by The Viral Fever and helmed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya. The writing continues under the watch of Chandan Kumar, who has shaped the tone and heart of the series from the beginning.
