Who is Paatal Lok Season 2 actor Prashant Tamang?

Prashant Tamang, originally from Darjeeling, West Bengal, faced early adversity after losing his father. He dropped out of school and joined the Kolkata Police, where he also performed in the police orchestra. His Indian Idol journey began in Kolkata, where he advanced to the top 10.

After a determined effort, Prashant Tamang and Amit Paul reached the top two of Indian Idol 3. Tamang went on to win the competition, securing his place as the deserving victor. Following this success, he signed with Sony BMG to release his debut album ‘Dhanyavad’, which featured songs in both Hindi and Nepali.

Prashant Tamang began his acting career in Nepali cinema in 2009, making his debut with ‘Gorkha Paltan’ in 2010. His second film, ‘Angalo Yo Maya Ko’, followed soon after. Most recently, he gained widespread attention for his portrayal of a menacing sniper in ‘Paatal Lok’ Season 2, marking a major step in his acting journey.
