'Kohrra' Returns For Season 2 With Mona Singh Joining Barun Sobti

Kohrra, a criminal thriller on Netflix, is returning for a second season with actress Mona Singh joining the cast.

New Delhi: ‘Kohrra’, the highly praised criminal drama series set in the misty Punjab, will be returning for a second season. Thanks to its combination of crime, passion, and psychological depth, as well as its riveting plot, superb acting, and extensive exploration of society's intricacies. Last month, shooting on Kohrra's second season began with new faces joining the series.

Many viewers are counting down the days before the new season premieres. Now, Netflix India has officially announced that actress Mona Singh will be joining the cast. With her reputation for commanding performances, Mona Singh is sure to inject new life into the show. Barun Sobti, meanwhile, comes back to carry on with his multi-layered character development as Garundi, a young cop battling a murder investigation with his own inner struggles.

The return of Suvinder Vicky, a breakthrough star in Kohrra's first season, for the show's second season is still up in the air. An insider said, "The makers are taking the story forward with a fresh case."

Co-creator of the show, Sudip Sharma said, “Kohrra has been more than just a show for us—it’s a piece of our hearts. We’ve poured everything we have into this story, and seeing the love it has received is incredibly moving. It’s inspired us to come back with something even more powerful. Randeep Jha is now overseeing production on ‘Kohrra Season 2’. Once again, Sudip Sharma, the show's co-creator, is participating in writing. 
The series has received extensive praise and won over 20 awards. ‘Kohrra’ received several accolades, including the esteemed Best Series Award in Melbourne, as well as local and international prizes for Best Web Series, Best Actor, Best Ensemble, Best Editing, and Best Cinematography.
