Metro In Dino OTT Release: When & Where To Watch Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan Starrer

Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino is set to stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. Here's when to expect the release and where to watch it online.

Seventeen years after 'Life in a... Metro' redefined urban romance on screen, director Anurag Basu is back with 'Metro... In Dino', a spiritual successor exploring contemporary relationships across India's major cities. Released in theatres on July 4, 2025, the film has already secured its OTT future on Netflix, making it one of the year’s most anticipated digital debuts.

Boasting an ensemble cast featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher, the film dives into emotionally rich, interwoven narratives. Konkona Sen Sharma is the only actor reprising her presence from the original.

Metro...In Dino OTT release

While 'Metro... In Dino' continues its theatrical journey, Netflix has been confirmed as its official digital streaming partner. Once the movie wraps its box office run, it will be available for streaming on the platform across India.

Though the exact premiere date hasn’t been disclosed yet, current industry trends hint that the OTT release will likely happen between late August and early September 2025. This aligns with the typical 6 to 8-week window most Bollywood films follow before heading online.

Multiple Love Stories, One Urban Heartbeat

Basu’s sequel touches upon modern-day dilemmas through four unique love stories, set against the backdrops of Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.

We meet Monty and Kajol (Pankaj Tripathi and Konkona Sen Sharma), a couple whose predictable marriage is shaken when Monty ventures onto a dating app. Shibani (Neena Gupta) reunites with Parimal (Anupam Kher) at a school gathering, bringing old emotions back to the surface. In another storyline, Chumki (Sara Ali Khan), an ambitious young woman from Delhi, shares a chance connection in Bengaluru with the free-spirited Parth (Aditya Roy Kapur). Meanwhile, Akash and Shruti (Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh) navigate the complex crossroad between career ambitions and commitment.

What’s Next for Viewers?

Until the streaming release arrives, fans can catch 'Metro... In Dino' in cinemas. For those waiting to stream it at home, the wait won’t be long. Netflix users can expect this heartfelt urban drama to arrive before the end of summer.
