India’s Got Latent Quietly Returns After Controversy, Samay Raina Show Finds New Digital Life
After a major controversy involving guest Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina’s YouTube talent show India’s Got Latent has resurfaced on a new channel, winning back its fanbase.

Four months after a major controversy halted its progress, India’s Got Latent, the popular YouTube talent show hosted by comedian Samay Raina, has silently resurfaced online. This unexpected return comes not through its original platform, but via a new channel named India’s Got Latent Clips, now populated with over 500 videos from past episodes.
The show, once a rising star in the Indian digital comedy space, was abruptly taken down earlier this year after a segment triggered widespread backlash. The controversy stemmed from a highly inappropriate comment made by guest YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia to a contestant, involving the contestant’s parents.
Controversy That Brought Down a Viral Series
The incident did not go unnoticed. Public outrage was swift and severe, leading to multiple FIRs being filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani. In the aftermath, Samay Raina removed all episodes from his official YouTube channel and posted a statement acknowledging the toll the situation had taken on him.
“Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time,” Samay wrote, adding that he was fully cooperating with legal authorities.
Soft Relaunch on a New Channel Wins Over Loyal Fans
Now, after months of silence, episodes and highlights from India’s Got Latent have begun appearing again — this time on a newly created channel titled India’s Got Latent Clips. These include both public and members-only segments that had been previously removed.
Despite the earlier backlash, the show’s core fan base appears to have remained intact. The comments section of the new uploads is filled with excitement and relief, featuring reactions like “2025 is the year of comeback,” “Finallyyyyyyyy… comeback ho hi gaya Latent ka,” and “Best comeback everrr.”
Samay Raina Continues His International Comedy Tour
Meanwhile, host Samay Raina has not paused his personal trajectory. He is currently in the middle of an international stand-up comedy tour covering the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The tour, which began on June 5, is set to conclude in Sydney on July 20.
Whether India’s Got Latent is being softly revived or simply archived remains unclear, but for its fans, its reappearance is already being celebrated as a digital comeback.
