Nick Jonas Opens Up About Daughter Malti: Blessed That She’s Back
During an appearance on the Today show, when asked about his life as a father Nick Jonas said, "life is beautiful. She’s a gift and we’re just so blessed that she’s back.”
Priyanka and Nick became proud parents of a baby girl, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in January 2022. The baby had to spend more than three months in the Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) before they could bring her home. Now Nick Jonas has spoken for the first time about his life as a dad.
During an appearance on the Today show, when asked about his life as a father Nick said, "life is beautiful. She’s a gift and we’re just so blessed that she’s back.”
Referring to her brothers and their kids, Nick said, “The Jonas family keeps growing. My parents were thrilled. Grandparents of, now, four beautiful granddaughters.”
Earlier, HollywoodLife had reported that Nick Jonas is fulfilling his daddy duties perfectly and has been singing to her daughter to calm her down ever since she is home. He took his brother’s advice and started singing to her.
“Nick’s found that it not only helps her sleep but can calm her down when she is fussy. As soon as she hears his voice, she just looks at him with big eyes and smiles. It melts Priyanka’s heart to see this and Nick sings to her all the time – with or without guitar. He will hold her and rock her back and forth and create little songs as he goes along. His family thinks that they might have another musician on their hands because she absolutely loves it,” HollywoodLife quoted its source as saying.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas took to Instagram on Mother’s Day to reveal the first picture of their daughter.
Priyanka Chopra wrote: “On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.”
