New Delhi: Netflix dropped the trailer for season 3 of the popular series ‘Never Have I Ever’ on Wednesday. The trailer shows Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Darren Barnet) making their relationship official and everyone at school getting shocked.
Netflix tweeted the trailer with the caption, "Being in a relationship doesn't solve all of our problems" and other life advice with Devi. Never Have I Ever 3 arrives 12th August."
The trailer shows the struggles of a real relationship. Fed up by the constant snarky looks and comments on their relationship and getting insecure about her relationship, Devi asks her friends, “It’s believable that we’re together, right?”
In another scene, Paxton confesses to Devi that he likes her. He said, “I like you.”In response, Devi stated, “Yeah, but why? No one else thinks we make any sense.”
“No, you don’t think we make any sense,” Paxton corrects her.
And then enters a strikingly handsome Indian boy who looks like a new entrant in Devi’s already difficult love life.
Mindy Kaling’s series Never Have I Ever has also been renewed for a fourth season. The show was renewed for two more seasons last march, with the fourth season concluding the Netflix series run, projected to be released in 2023.
One month later, Kaling shared why she feels it’s best for the series to end after four seasons.
Kaling in an interview in April said, “Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense.” “They can’t be in high school forever. We’ve seen those shows. Like, you’ve been in high school for 12 years. What is going on here?”
“Also, the actors get older and it starts looking insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old,” she added.
The third season of the show will premiere on August 12. Jaren Lewison, Richa Moorjani, Poorna Jagannathan, Lee Rodriguez, and Ramona Young are also parts of the cast.
