Vivek Oberoi Starrer 'PM Narendra Modi' To Have Its Digital Release On This Date

'PM Narendra Modi' will release on a leading OTT platform next week.

Mumbai:  Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi starrer 'PM Narendra Modi' is all set to premiere on a leading OTT platform. The film, which arrived in the cinema halls in 2019, will now release on MX Player next week. On the occasion of PM Modi’s 71st birthday, the makers issued a statement to reveal that the biopic will be available for viewing on a streaming platform from September 23. 

Vivek, who played the titular role in the film, expressed his excitement over its digital release. The 'Saathiya' actor shared the trailer of the movie on his official Instagram handle to make the announcement. He wrote, "Dekhiye humaare Pradhan Mantri, Shri Narendra Modi ji ki kahaani, in #PMNarendraModi, streaming free from 23 September only on @mxplayer."

Director Omung Kumar also said that the biographical drama will reach more homes upon its release on an OTT platform. "This film is the first one to chronicle and celebrate the life of a Prime Minister. I am so glad that MX Player is giving this story what it deserves, a chance to reach more homes in our country," he was quoted as saying by IANS. 

'PM Narendra Modi', which hit the silver screens on May 24, 2019, focused on the life story of the BJP leader. The movie co-starring Manoj Joshi, Boman Irani and Barkha Sengupta failed to create ripples at the box office. 

Several Bollywood celebs including Ajay Devn, Kangana Ranaut wished PM Narendra Modi on his birthday on social media.  Vivek also penned a heartfelt note for PM Modi on Instagram.

Films Which Are Releasing On OTT

Several movies like 'Shershaah', 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India', 'Toofan', 'Sherni' and 'Haseen Dillruba' have premiered directly on OTT platforms. Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer 'Bhoot Police' released on Disney+Hotstar on September 10, 2021.

Kangana Ranaut's 'Thalaivii' will soon have its digital premiere on streaming giants. While the Hindi version will be available for streaming on Netflix, the Tamil and Telugu version will release on Amazon Prime Video.

Sunny Kaushal and Radhika Madan's new film 'Shiddat' will also release on a streaming giant.
