Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: CBI Refutes Report Claiming Probe Is Over; Calls It 'Speculative And Erroneous’
Recently, reports came out that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has completed its investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case and is likely to submit its closure report in the next few days.
New Delhi: The unfortunate demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left the world in a state of shock. The ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor breathed his last on June 14, 2020, as he was allegedly found hanging in his Bandra apartment. A wave was created amongst his fans from around the globe for a CBI investigation in the case. Finally, after the late actor’s father lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and others, the Supreme Court handed over the case to CBI which was earlier being handled by the Mumbai Police.

Recently, reports came out that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has completed its investigation and is likely to submit its closure report in the next few days. However, refuting all the reports, the agency said on Thursday that the death case of SSR has not yet reached a conclusion and added that these reports are speculative and erroneous.
The agency was quoted saying by ANI, “Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues to investigate the death of #SushantSinghRajput. There are certain speculative reports in media that the CBI has reached a conclusion. It may be reiterated that these reports are speculative and erroneous.”
Earlier on Wednesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches at four locations linked to filmmaker Dinesh Vijan in connection with its probe into the money laundering angle in the Rajput's death case.
Rhea Chakraborty, girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drugs case related to the ‘Kedarnath’ actor’s death. The ‘Chehre’ actress was granted bail on October 7 as she walked out of Byculla jail after staying in custody for 28 days. The Bombay High Court had rejected the bail pleas of Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty and drug peddler Abdul Basit Parihar.
