ong>New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput’s Producer friend Sandip Ssingh opened up about his relationship with SSR and his family in a recent interaction with ABP News. The producer disclosed there were fake reports doing the rounds about him and that he has never heard about Rhea Chakraborty.
Sandip Ssingh said that he does not need to run away from the truth as he was Sushant’s friend and not an enemy. When questioned about his presence at the crime scene and why he showed thumbs up to the Mumbai Police, he said, “I went to support his sister Mitu Singh as it was a tough time for her and she was alone in the city.”

“I showed thumbs up to the police as they called my name”, he added.
Speaking on the Dawood and underworld’s connection, he said, “There is one photo from my Iftar party of ‘Ramleela’ back from 2012. Someone took that photo and wrote ‘Sandip Ssingh with Dawood Ibrahim’. The person who was present with me in that photo stepped forward and wrote on Twitter that he is Vasik Khan and not Dawood. Vasik Khan is a production director.”
When enquired about Sushant’s death, Sandip said, “I was sitting in the kitchen and was not allowed in the 1st floor, Mahesh Shetty was also there. I was asked to bring Sushant's ID card and Meetu di to the hospital and I did the same.”
He added, “We did not know Rhea was in the hospital. We got to know when we saw it in the media.”
The producer also said, “I don’t know whether she gave drugs to SSR. CBI is investigating the same, we need to be patient instead of peddling false news.”

Sandip Ssingh also revealed that though he lost touch with the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor in 2019 as he was busy making the biopic of PM Narendra Modi, they loved each other.
When ABP News questioned him if Sushant was a drug addict, Sandip said that he never saw the late actor consume drugs. He said, “I never saw SSR doing drugs. He had no depression and was a lively man who enjoyed doing activities like dancing, singing, travelling. Sushant never told me ever about Rhea, I did not even know she was in his life.”
On his connections with BJP, Ssingh said, “I just made a movie on PM Modi which I felt was an inspiring story. I made ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Sarbjit’, ‘Aligarh’, all of them were biopics and were inspiring for me. There is no BJP connection as such, both I and Vivek Oberoi requested Fadnavis sir to launch NAMO poster because it was PM's biopic.”
