Sidharth Malhotra To Star In Raaj Shaandilyaa’s New Comedy, Details Inside

Sidharth Malhotra is all set to headline an upcoming comedy directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, best known for helming the ‘Dream Girl’ franchise and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’.

Sidharth Malhotra is all set to headline an upcoming comedy directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, best known for helming the ‘Dream Girl’ franchise and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. Teaming up with producer Mahaveer Jain, Raaj brings his signature style to this yet-to-be-titled project. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in September 2025, marking an exciting collaboration in the comedy space.

Sidharth Malhotra to star in a comedy film

A source close to the development revealed, "The yet untitled film is an out and out big budget comedy entertainer, and the entire team from Sidharth Malhotra to Mahaveer Jain and Raaj Shaandilyaa are excited to take it on floors towards the second half of 2025. The characters and world have the potential to lead itself to a one-of-its-kind high concept franchise. It is written by Sanjeev”.

Sidharth Malhotra starrer is also being co-produced by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the creative mind behind the popular ‘Fukrey’ franchise. Lamba, who is a partner at MJF, brings his distinct comedic sensibility to the project. Meanwhile, producer Mahaveer Jain is simultaneously working on several other films, all of which are currently in different stages of development.

"With a yet untitled comic entertainer and a creature comedy, Mahaveer Jain is all set to entertain the audience in 2025. Both the films have unique scripts, and have been designed for a large-scale entertainment”, the source added.

This film adds to Mahaveer Jain's expanding production lineup, which also includes ‘Nagzilla’ starring Kartik Aaryan. It will see Jain teaming up with Karan Johar, with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba once again stepping in as director.

Meanwhile, the untitled comedy marks perfect timing for Sidharth Malhotra, who has just wrapped up ‘Param Sundari’ and is gearing up for his next venture with Ekta Kapoor and TVF. His packed slate also features ‘Race 4’ alongside Saif Ali Khan, along with potential collaborations with director Saran Sharma and producer Karan Johar.
