EXCLUSIVE: Salman's Father Salim Khan LASHES Out At Abhinav Kashyap, Calls Him 'Frustrated Man'

Salim Khan strongly reacted to Abhinav Kashyap's allegations against him and his family members. He slammed the 'Dabangg' director for mentioning his name in his post on Facebook.

Mumbai: ‘Dabangg’ director Abhinav Kashyap set several tongues wagging when he made serious allegations against Salman Khan, his brothers Arbaaz & Sohail and father Salim Khan in a post on Facebook. Abhinav accused the ‘Bharat’ actor and his family members of sabotaging his career. The ‘Besharam’ director shared a hard-hitting post on social media, accusing the ‘Bigg Boss’ host of mental harassment and bullying. Salman’s father Salim Khan, while exclusively talking to ABP News, said, “Abhinav Kashyap is a crazy person. He shouldn’t be given so much importance. I have completed over 50 years in the film industry and everyone knows my work. Nothing is hidden from anyone. People also know Salman and Arbaaz very well. Who is Abhinav Kashyap? What has he done in life? The veteran writer further said, “Is it justified to blame someone else for your own failure? Do we have the power to make a film flop? Such people shouldn’t be encouraged. I am feeling as if I am standing in a witness box because of such allegations.” Abhinav Kashyap directed Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Dabangg’ in 2010. He was offered ‘Dabangg 2’ but he didn’t give his nod to the sequel. Kashyap worked with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Besharam’, which turned out to be big flop at the box office. He stated in an interview that he didn't wish to direct ‘Dabangg 2’. Salim Khan is miffed with the allegations against him and his family. He said, “Abhinav’s first interview makes everything clear. This is all rubbish talk. We had offered him ‘Dabangg 2’, which he refused. The matter ends there itself. I have written 40 films in my career and he mentioned my name in his statement, leveling allegations against me. He should be ashamed of what he did,” Khan further said. Abhinav Kashyap, in his post, said that he refused to direct ‘Dabangg 2’ as Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan were trying to 'control his career' by bullying him. He said that after refusing ‘Dabangg 2’, the Khan brothers sabotaged two of his projects and he was only able to make ‘Besharam’ with the assistance from Reliance Entertainment. "Arbaaz Khan on Dabangg and ever since. So here is my story 10 years after Dabangg. The reason I moved out of making Dabangg 2 ten years ago is that Arbaaz Khan in collusion with Sohail Khan and family was trying to take control of my career by bullying me. because Arbaaz Khan sabotaged my second project with Shree Ashtavinayak Films that I was signed up with by personally calling their head Mr. Raj Mehta and threatening him with dire consequences if they made a film with me. I had to return the signing money to Shree Ashtavinayak films and moved to Viacom Pictures. They did the same thing. Only this time the sabotager was Sohail Khan and he intimidated the then Viacom CEO Vikram Malhotra. My project was sabotaged and I was made to return my signing fee of Rupees 7 Crores plus interest of Ninety odd lacs. Its only then that Reliance Entertainment came to my rescue and we forged an enduring partnership for my film Besharam," Abhinav’s post read. Abhinav also wrote, “My enemies are sharp, cunning and always attack me from the back and stay Hidden. But the best part is after 10 Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan years, I know who my enemies are. Let it be known that they are Salim Khan, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan for. There are many other small fry's but Salman Khan family is the head of this venomous serpent.” The director alleged that Salman’s family intimated people with 'political clout and underworld connections'. He said that the mental harassment and bullying led to his divorce in 2017.

When ABP News contacted Abhinav Kashyap to know his side of the story, he said, “No comments.”
