Poonam Pandey Reacts To Raj Kundra's Arrest, Says 'I Can't Imagine What Shilpa Shetty...'

Poonam Pandey, who had earlier lodged a police complaint against Raj Kundra, expressed her concern for Shilpa Shetty following his arrest.

Mumbai: A Mumbai Court on Tuesday sent businessman and Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra to a police custody till July 23 for a case related to production of pornographic material. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police had arrested the 45-year-old under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act on Monday night.  

Model-actress Poonam Pandey expressed her concern for Shilpa Shetty and her two kids following Raj Kundra’s arrest. Pandey, while talking to Times Of India, said that her 'heart goes out to Shilpa and her two children’. She told the daily that she refuses to use to ‘this opportunity’ to talk about her trauma.

For the uninitiated, Poonam had filed a complaint against Raj Kundra and his associates, accusing them of fraud and theft. She told TOI that the matter is sub-judice and she wouldn’t speak much about it. 

The 'Nasha' actress had moved Bombay High Court to register a case against the businessman and his associates. She claimed that she was flooded with obscene messages as her number was leaked on an app for which she collaborated with Kundra and his associates. 

Raj Kundra had told the leading daily that he made an exit from Armsprime Media in December 2019 and was not unaware about the petition.

ABP News has found that the police officials have seized a big sum of foreign currency from a company named Viaan, which is also the name of Shilp Shetty’s son. The Crime branch has seized Kundra’s phones as part of their investigation in the matter.  The Mumbai Police said that Raj Kundra as a 'key conspirator' in the case and said that they had enough evidence against him. 

According to a report in PTI, Kundra told police that he earned money by ‘making and selling pornographic content’.  

Apart from Raj Kundra, a man named Ruan Thorpe was also arrested in the case. He was remanded in police custody till July 23, 2021.
