Leo Box Office Collection Day 7: Thalapathy Vijay's Film Continues Its Dream Run, Enters 500 Crore Club

Thalapathy Vijay's action-thrilled film ‘Leo’ has been met with immense fanfare at the ticket windows. The film has raked in Rs 250 crore in the first six days of its domestic release.

New Delhi: Thalapathy Vijay's action-thrilled film ‘Leo’ has been met with immense fanfare at the ticket windows. The film has raked in Rs 250 crore in the first six days of its domestic release and is now cruising towards the Rs 300 crore mark in India.

Talking about the film's box office collection, according to a sacknilk report, ‘Leo’ has made Rs 64.80 crore on its release day, Rs 35.25 crore on its first Friday, Rs 39.80 crore on its first Saturday, Rs 41.55 crore on its first Sunday, Rs 35.70 crore on its first Monday, Rs 32.70 crore on its first Tuesday, and is estimated to have made around Rs 12.50 crore on its first Wednesday. The film's total collections are estimated to have reached Rs 262.30 crore as of Wednesday, according to early estimates.

‘Leo's Tamil shows achieved a total occupancy of 34.71 percent on Wednesday, with its Telugu shows achieving a total occupancy of 29.22 percent and its Hindi shows achieving an occupancy of 10.34 percent.

Also, ‘Leo’ becomes the first Tamil film to cross the Rs 500 crore mark within 6 days of its release at the global box office. According to the makers, Thalaivar's latest film has earned Rs 500 crore worldwide.

The film ‘Leo’ is inspired by the 2005 movie A History of Violence. It follows the story of Parthiban (Parthi) Das, a humble cafe proprietor who is transformed into a local hero after committing an act of violence, which puts him under the surveillance of a drug-dealing gang who believe he was once a member of their organization.
‘Leo’ is already the second-biggest Tamil-language movie of the year, behind Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’.

'Leo' marks the second collaboration of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after 'Master'. It also marks the debut of Sanjay Dutt in the Tamil film industry. The film features Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, and Mysskin in significant roles.
