Singer Mika Singh recently opened up about his unpleasant experience working with actor Bipasha Basu on the crime thriller Dangerous. In a candid conversation with Pinkvilla, he claimed that Bipasha displayed a difficult attitude on set, which, according to him, has impacted her career. He stated that she is out of work today because of her behaviour.

Mika also revealed that completing the dubbing process for the project was challenging, despite ensuring that payments were made on time. He shared, “Someone always had a sore throat. If it was Bipasha who was sick at one time, it was Karan at another.”

Mika Singh Criticises Bipasha Basu

The series, which also starred Karan Singh Grover, was initially intended to be a small-scale project, primarily as a showcase for Mika’s music.

Recalling the difficulties, Mika explained, “Why do you think they’re out of work now? God is watching everything. I liked Karan a lot and wanted to produce a low-budget film—around ₹4 crore."

At the time, Mika couldn’t afford Vikram Bhatt as a director, so he brought him on board as a writer while Bhushan Patel took on the directorial responsibilities. However, the situation changed when Bipasha expressed her interest in joining the project.

“I was considering another actress, but she wanted to be a part of it. The shoot was set in London, and the budget increased from ₹4 crore to ₹14 crore... And the drama created by Bipasha ensured that I would always regret getting into production. It was a team she was comfortable with, and they were playing a couple, who had to feature in kissing scenes. Suddenly, she was throwing tantrums saying she won’t do this or she won’t do that, etc…” Mika added.

About Bipasha and Karan

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover first crossed paths while filming Alone in 2015. Their on-screen chemistry soon turned into real-life romance, leading to their wedding in 2016. The couple embraced parenthood in 2022 with the birth of their daughter, Devi. It has been nearly five years since Bipasha last appeared in an acting role.
