When Is Chaitra Navratri 2025?

The festival begins with Ghatasthapana, a significant ritual performed on the first day of Navratri. It is essential to conduct this ceremony during the auspicious Muhurat to ensure the success of the nine-day worship.

In 2025, Chaitra Navratri will commence on March 30, as the Pratipada Tithi (first day of the lunar fortnight) starts on March 29 at 4:27 PM and ends on March 30 at 12:49 PM. Since Navratri begins on the Udaya Tithi (rising date), the festival will start on March 30, 2025, with Ghatasthapana.

Chaitra Navratri 2025 Ghatasthapana Muhurat:

Auspicious Time for Ghatasthapana: 6:13 AM – 10:22 AM
Abhijit Muhurat: 12:01 PM – 12:50 PM

The most favorable time for Ghatasthapana is during the first one-third of the Pratipada Tithi. If this period is unavailable, the ritual can also be performed during the Abhijit Muhurat.
