The film has been garnering praise from audiences and is making its mark at the box office. With a steady rise in collections, the movie has amassed a total of Rs 2.42 Cr. nett in India and Rs 3.85 Cr. Gross worldwide.
Kiran Rao’s directorial ‘Laapataa Ladies’ kicked off to a promising start, grossing Rs 1.02 Cr. on its opening day. The momentum continued on day 2, with the film earning Rs 1.40 Cr. on Saturday, further boosting its total to Rs 2.42 Cr. nett domestically and 3.85 Cr. Gross globally.
Given the positive reviews and strong word of mouth, the comedy-drama is poised for a successful weekend run. Impressively, the film has witnessed a remarkable 126% growth in worldwide gross box office collections on its second day.

Released under the banners of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, the film features a screenplay and dialogue penned by Sneha Desai, with additional dialogue by Divyanidhi Sharma.
‘Laapataa Ladies’ features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Shrivastava in prominent roles, alongside Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, and Geeta Agrawal Sharma. The film follows the tale of a married man (Sparsh Shrivastava) who inadvertently loses track of his wife on a crowded train when he mistakes another woman for her. The mix-up remains unnoticed until they reach his village, leading to unforeseen consequences.
For Kiran Rao, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ marks her return to directing after the release of ‘Dhobi Ghat’ in 2011.
