Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Dhamaka’ To Release On Netflix; Film Sold For Whooping Rs 135 Crore
Kartik Aaryan, who is known for portraying boy next door characters in films, will be seen in a totally new avatar in his upcoming movie ‘Dhamaka’.
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan made his acting with Luv Ranjan’s 2011 buddy drama ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. He, however, gained recognition when he starred in the 2018 movie ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’. This movie proved to be a breakthrough in the actor’s career and since then, there has been no stopping for him as he went on to sign new films.
Kartik Aaryan, who is known for portraying boy next door characters in films, will be seen in a totally new avatar in his upcoming movie ‘Dhamaka’. Kartik will be seen portraying the role of a journalist who covers a live broadcast of a terror attack.
Last month, the makers of ‘Dhamaka’ released the teaser of the film which has increased the anticipation to know more about the film amongst the audience.
Now, according to a report of SpotboyE, ‘Dhamaka’ has been sold Netflix for a whopping amount of Rs 135 crore to the OTT giant Netflix. Reportedly, this is the highest fee paid by any OTT platform for any movie and the film will release sometime in May or June 2021.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, ‘Dhamaka’ is the official Hindi remake of the 2014 South Korean film ‘The Terror Live’. It tells the story of an ambitious news anchor who monopolizes the live broadcast of a terrorist attack.
Other than ‘Dhamaka’, Kartik Aaryan will also be seen starring alongside Janhvi Kapoor in ‘Dostana 2’ and opposite Kiara Advani in ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’.
