The 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' actor has managed to win the hearts of the audience with his acting skills and cute looks in his films. The Bollywood heartthrob trended on social media after a report in an entertainment portal suggested that he would play the role of a cricketer in Sharan Sharma's upcoming film. It was said that the movie would be bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Movies. The filmmaker has put an end to the rumours by sharing a post on Twitter. He confirmed that the casting team has not locked the film's cast as the makers are still working on the screenplay. The 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' director requested the fans to wait for an official announcement regarding the film.
"There have been lots of speculations and conjectures on The casting of Sharan Sharma’s next film for @DharmaMovies just want to specify that the cast of the film hasn’t been locked as the screenplay is being finalised as we speak.... please wait for an official announcement," KJo tweeted.
Interestingly, the makers have remained tight-lipped about the film while gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that Alia Bhatt might star in the upcoming project.
On the professional front, Kartik Aaryan will be next seen in 'Bhool Bhulaiyya 2'. The horror comedy film co-starring Kiara Advani and Tabu is slated to hit the silver screens on November 19, 2021. The 'Love Aaj Kal 2' actor also has 'Dostana 2' and 'Dhamaka' in his kitty.
