Irrfan Khan’s Son Babil Completes First Shooting Schedule; Says ‘The Story Will Always Be Bigger Than You’

Irrfan received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. His son Babil Khan, who is also stepping into the world of acting, received the award on his behalf.

New Delhi: Late actor Irrfan Khan, who made a name for himself not only in the Hindi film industry but also in Hollywood, lost the battle of life to colon infection last year. The ‘Maqbool’ actor breathed his last year on April 29, 2020. Irrfan received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor award recently for his performance in the movie ‘Angrezi Medium’. His son Babil Khan, who is also stepping into the world of acting, received the award on his behalf.

Babil Khan is an avid social media user and keeps on sharing updates about his life with his fans. He also shares throwback memories of the late actor remembering him fondly.

Babil took to his social media and informed that he has finished his first shooting schedule. While sharing the post, he wrote, “I have finished my first shooting schedule. Damn. Also with my childhood best friend bama side. In the process, I realised that it is absolutely necessary to remember that your self-importance will drown you if you’re not extremely careful and honest with yourself. You are part of a story and the story will always be bigger than you. (Whether you are an actor or not). Have a great day today!”

Babil Khan wore Irrfan’s clothes while accepting the Filmfare Award on his behalf. He shared an adorable video of his mother dressing him up for the event and wrote, “Mamma dressing me up - So in my little speech while accepting baba’s awards from @jaideepahlawat @rajkummar_rao @ayushmannk , I basically said “this is not my place to say anything. People always say that you cannot fit into your father’s shoes but at least I can fit into his clothes. I just want to show all my gratitude to the audience and our industry because of the warmth and love that you have hugged our family with, and all I can really say is that you and I will make this journey together and take indian cinema to new heights, I promise.” The story behind the clothes was that my father hated participating in fashion shows and ramp walks but he did it in these same clothes in order to continuously break out of his comfort zone. That is exactly what I was doing last night, tearing though into new spaces that I’m uncomfortable with.”

Irrfan Khan was last seen in the movie ‘Angrezi Medium’ before he passed away last year. The movie also starred Radhika Madan in a pivotal role.
