Difference between Pakistani artists and terrorists: Salman on MNS ban

New Delhi: Expressing his disapproval over the ban by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over Pakistani artists, an irate Salman Khan asserted that the latter were not terrorists, adding that they must not be mixed up with the concept of terrorism. "These are two different subjects. They (Uri attack perpetrators) were terrorists and these are artists and artists are not terrorists. They come after obtaining a visa and our government gives them the visa and work permit," said the Bhaijaan of Bollywood. However, when talking about the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army across the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday, the Bollywood icon stated that it was an apt reaction to the neighboring country's action in Uri that killed 19 innocent Indian soldiers. Though the 'Dagang' star emphasized on the importance of prevalence of peace in the society, he cited Army's action of rooting out terrorists from PoK, proper and much requisite. "The ideal situation should have been peaceful but since it (Uri attack) has happened so obviously the action will have a reaction to it. But in this day, in this age I think living with love and peace would have been better, especially for the common people. It was a proper action because they were terrorists." For the unversed, two Pakistani soldiers and over 30 terrorists were reportedly killed in the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army. The action was in response to the terrorist attack at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 19 Indian Army soldiers.
