Ayush also happens to be the first contestant of KBC 14 to reach the new Rs. 75 lakh stage which has been called the 'Dhan Amrit'.
New Delhi: As 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14' continues to make headlines, its latest episode with contestant Ayush Garg created quite an expectation when the 27-year-old Strategy and Operations Manager at an E-Commerce company failed to give the correct answer to the Rs. 1 crore question. Ayush also happens to be the first contestant of this season to reach the new Rs. 75 lakh stage which has been called the 'Dhan Amrit'.
After answering the Rs. 75 lakh question, Amitah Bachchan made a video call to Ayush's parents. They also stayed on the call as Ayush faced the Rs. 1 crore question which made him quit the show. The question was: Which was the first mountain peak above 8,000 metres in height, to be submitted by humans?” and the options were: A) Annapurna, B) Lhotse, C) Kangchenjunga, and D) Makalu.
While the correct answer was option A) Annapurna, Ayush selected option B) Lhotse and thus failed the round. Though, Ayush did walk away with the prize amount Rs 75,00,000.
This new Rs. 75 lakh amount has been added to commemorate India' s 75th year of Independence. KBC Season 14 has also increased the jackpot prize to Rs. 7.5 crore.
With many new rules and additions, the new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati has created quite some anticipation among fans and contestants. Hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14' airs at 9 PM from Monday to Friday, on Sony TV.
