Hrithik Roshan Knows Where To Draw A Line: 'Cannot Chase The Euphoria Characters Like Kabir & Vikram Generate'

Vikram Vedha' is all set to release this Friday, marking Hrithik's return to the silver screen after 3 long years post 'WAR'.

New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan has been gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Vikram Vedha'. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Satyadeep Mishra. Recently in an interaction with a publication, Hrithik shared his experience of the aftermath of success from his last film 'WAR'. Directed by Siddharth Anand, 'WAR' was a blockbuster. It featured Hrithik as a RAW agent Kabir who had all the swag and intelligence of a spy and the heroism of a Bollywood hero. Hrithik received a lot of love for his character. In an interview with The Indian Express, Hrithik shared that he did not let the love and adulation of the film reach his head. He knows where to draw a line.

"War put a different kind of pressure. There was so much adulation for Kabir that I got lost. I didn’t know why, where, or what I should take… It was a very confusing time for me. I can’t go very deep into it, but I was kind of lost, because I was getting a lot of love for something that I was not. It was time for me to realign with the person I am and to fulfill myself as Hrithik. Because if I keep constantly filling myself up through the love for my characters, in my real life also I will try and be that, so that I keep getting the love. I need to be comfortable being me,” Hrithik was quoted as saying to The Indian Express.

Hrithik also added that he cannot chase the 'love or the euphoria these parts generate' otherwise his life would be 'traumatic'.

"It’s okay that I am not as good as Kabir or Vedha. I am not. I am not that guy. These are handmade characters, that’s not me. It’s my work. It’s so important to demarcate and differentiate me as a person, from the person I am and the persona that I project on-screen. If I don’t separate the two, I will live in chaos. I will always live as a hungry soul, trying to get applause all the time, trying to portray all of that in my real life. That would be traumatic,” he added.

'Vikram Vedha' is a Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil hit film of the same name. It is also being helmed by the director duo Pushkar-Gayatri who made the original. 'Vikram Vedha' is all set to release this Friday, marking Hrithik's return to the silver screen after 3 long years after 'WAR'.
