Assam CM congratulates Binita Chetry

Congratulating her on this remarkable feat, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to X and wrote, “Dancing her way to glory. Many congratulations to our very own #BinitaChetry on securing the 3rd spot at #BGTFinal. Her performances have mesmerised audiences from the Brahmaputra to the Thames and made us all proud."

The grand finale of BGT 2025 took place in the UK on May 31. British magician Harry Moulding clinched the top spot, while the LED dance group "The Blackouts" secured second place. The winner received a cash prize of £250,000 and an opportunity to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance later this year.

About Binita Chetry

Binita's journey on BGT has been nothing short of inspiring. Her graceful and agile performances consistently won the hearts of viewers and the judging panel alike. Despite not receiving a Golden Buzzer — a point of debate among fans who felt she truly deserved it — she progressed through the competition purely on public votes, underscoring the wide appeal of her talent.

Her audition moment, where she endearingly spoke of her dream to win the competition and buy a “pink princess house,” resonated with many. She delivered one of the season’s most talked-about performances during the finale, dancing to “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” earning critical acclaim and audience admiration.

Binita credits much of her success to the steadfast support of her family, especially her father, Amar Chettri, a humble broiler farm owner in Bokajan, whose belief in her talent played a vital role in her journey.
