'He Is Absolutely Fine': Bobby Deol Quashes Rumours Of Dharmendra Being Hospitalised

The clarification by Bobby Deol comes amid speculative stories about Dharmendra's health condition. The veteran actor was hospitalised in April due to "big muscle pull" and was discharged later.

New Delhi: Actor Bobby Deol on Tuesday quashed reports of his father and veteran actor Dharmendra being hospitalised again and his condition being very critical. Speaking to India Today, Bobby Deol said, "He is absolutely fine. He is at home and he is recovering. He is doing well. Thank you so much for your love and affection."

The clarification by Bobby Deol comes amid speculative stories about Dharmendra's health condition. The veteran actor was hospitalised in April due to "big muscle pull" and was discharged after few days.

After his recovery, he even shared a video on Instagram where he was seen urging his followers not to overdo things. "Friends, don't do anything over. I did it and suffered a big muscle pull at the back. So, I had to visit the hospital. It was difficult, had a tough time for a few days," he said.

On Monday, Dharmendra posted a video on social media asking fans to "think positive" and not give credence to rumours about his health. In the video posted on his Twitter page, Dharmendra said he might have been mum on the speculative stories in the media regarding his well being but he was "not ill".

"Friends, be positive, think positive. Life will be positive. I'm silent, but not ill. Rumours keep cropping up," the 86-year-old said in the video.

Citing the lyrics of the song "Bura Mat Suno" from his 1969 film "Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke", Dharmendra  urged his fans to take care. "Love each other, be good to each other. Life will be beautiful," he further said.

Bobby Deol was recently seen in a new season of Aashram, where he is playing the role of Baba Nirala, a self proclaimed godman.

Dharmendra will be next seen in the movie "Apne 2" alongside his sons Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol and grandson Karan Deol. The movie will be released later this year. He will also be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, where he will be sharing the screen space with Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh and Jaya Bachchan. The movie will release at the end of this year.
