Faisal Khan Says He Was ‘Caged Once' At His Brother Aamir Khan's House

Aamir Khan's brother Faisal Khan has rejected the 'Bigg Boss' offer. In a recent interview, he gave the reason behind rejecting it and said that he was once caged at his brother Aamir Khan’s house.

New Delhi: Aamir Khan and his brother Faisal Khan reportedly had a strained relationship for quite some time when the latter was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Faisal, who has worked with Aamir in ‘Mela’, recently rejected the offer of being part of the celebrity reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. In a recent interview, he gave the reason behind rejecting it and said that he was once caged at his brother Aamir Khan’s house.

In a conversation with The Times of India, when asked why he rejected ‘Bigg Boss’, he said everyone is pitted against each other in the show and it is like being ‘caged and he has been caged once at his brother Aamir’s house.

“In Bigg Boss, everyone is pitted against each other, they fight, argue and then you’re also given tasks. They play with you mentally. I didn’t want to get trapped in that zone. They give you some money but by Allah’s grace I don’t need much money. So, I thought why should I get caged? Who likes being caged? Everyone likes a free life. That’s fun, you know. Qaid hone mein mazaa nahin hai (there’s no fun in being caged). I have been caged once in Aamir’s house. I don’t intend to get caged again. I want to live free and flow like water,” Faisal was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

When asked about his equation with his brother Aamir, the actor revealed that they are on good terms but busy in their lives.

“I am on talking terms with him. We meet and greet each other on occasions. But the thing is that he’s so busy in his life and I am struggling in my busy life,” he told the Times of India.

Earlier, Faisal took to his Instagram and posted a video where he revealed that he was offered the latest season of ‘Bigg Boss’ but he rejected it. Today is a happy day for me because I got two offers today. One was for Bigg Boss but I declined it. There was another offer for a TV serial. I am quite excited that people are thinking about me and considering me. I am happy. Please pray for me that I get some good work so I can try and entertain you all be it a web series or a film," he said in the video.

Faisal had fought a legal battle with his family in 2008. He had claimed that he was never ill and his family had spread rumours about his mental health and kept him under house arrest.
