Alia Bhatt's Mangulsutra has a sleek design and the number 8, which is reportedly Ranbir's lucky number. Isn't that sweet?

Kaleera

Alia also chose a sleek chooda design in contrast to the conventional red ones that brides generally wear.

Mehendi

Alia kept her Mehendi till her wrists and had simple patterns. Again, a change from convention of heavily henna-dyed hands.

The 'Gangubai' actress wore a saree instead of a lehenga at her wedding. This one really got us. Afterall, everyone had been presuming that Alia too would dress in a Sabyasachi Lehenga, a favourite among celebrity brides-to-be.
