The actor, known for his versatile roles, shared a fun clip on his Instagram where he can be seen sporting nothing but a pair of trunks and sunglasses as he runs toward the freezing waves. In his post, Varun humorously captioned the video, “It’s freezing but I start the year with a dip in the ocean welcome 2025.”

Baby John

On the professional front, Varun's most recent project is 'Baby John', an action-packed thriller directed by Kalees. The film is an official remake of the 2016 Tamil hit Theri, helmed by Atlee. In this movie, Varun plays the lead role of Sathya Verma, a former police officer who goes undercover to protect his daughter from a vengeful foe. Alongside Varun, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff, all of whom play pivotal roles in the storyline.

Notably, 'Baby John' marks Keerthy Suresh’s Bollywood debut. The film’s music was composed by Thaman S, and Kiran Koushik handled the cinematography. Produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films, and A for Apple Studios, Baby John released on December 25, 2025. Despite its star-studded cast and high expectations, the film has not managed to resonate strongly with audiences so far.
