Uorfi Javed Slams Misogynistic Trolls Targeting Elli AvrRam After Viral Post With Ashish Chanchlani

After Ashish Chanchlani shared a photo with Elli AvrRam, trolls targeted her with sexist remarks. Uorfi Javed called out the hate, slamming the double standards women face on social media.

Over the weekend, a lighthearted post by YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and actor Elli AvrRam unintentionally sparked a wave of trolling online. Ashish shared a photo on Instagram where he’s seen carrying Elli in his arms, both of them smiling joyfully. The caption read simply, “Finally,” prompting fans to speculate whether the duo had made their relationship official.

Netizens' reaction to Ashish Chanchlani's post

While many fans reacted with warmth and curiosity, a section of the internet quickly resorted to misogynistic trolling. Several comments made crude references to Elli’s alleged “body count” - a derogatory term that refers to the number of someone’s past sexual partners. One troll even warned Ashish to “be careful” while others referred to Elli as “second-hand.” These offensive remarks triggered widespread backlash, with many coming to Elli’s defence.

Uorfi slams trolls

Among the strongest voices condemning the hate was actor and influencer Uorfi Javed. Known for speaking her mind, Uorfi took to Instagram Stories to call out the vitriol directed at Elli, highlighting the gendered nature of such trolling. Reposting a comment thread discussing the issue, Uorfi wrote, “The world is so so brutal to woman, just a girl absolutely minding her business, she ain’t even controversial like me but guess what no hate to the man. People love to villainize and hate women that’s how they feel superior.”

The original post Uorfi shared criticised how the internet seemed fixated on Elli’s past while leaving Ashish untouched, underscoring a broader double standard in how women are judged versus men.

Not all netizens were part of the hate brigade. Many stood up in Elli’s support in the comment section. “Shame on the people talking about body count,” one user wrote. Another said, “This is disgusting. Let people be happy.”
