Actor Sooraj Pancholi recently opened up about the relationship between his parents, Zarina Wahab and Aditya Pancholi, and addressed why his mother chose not to divorce Aditya despite his alleged relationships after marriage. In a candid interview with Hindi Rush, Sooraj spoke emotionally about his family dynamics and praised his mother for being the glue that holds the family together.
"She holds the entire family together, and she has really been through a lot because of us. I have never, ever seen her break down. She has never complained about anything,” Sooraj shared.
Highlighting Zarina Wahab’s resilience and independence, he added:"She has been acting since the age of 16. She’s almost 65 now. She is self-made and owns four homes. She doesn’t come from money. If she wanted to leave, she could have done it long ago. Sometimes, women don’t leave because they don’t have a backup... But that’s not the case with her.”
Sooraj further explained that his father never stopped Zarina from working and never interfered with her career.
"She has her mother’s home in Bandra, she has sisters — one of them in America — and brothers. She could have left at any time. But staying was her decision. It's an understanding between them, and I’m in no position to judge or comment on that arrangement."

Zarina Wahab and Aditya Pancholi got married in 1986. The couple has two children — actors Sooraj Pancholi and Sana Pancholi. Aditya has been surrounded by controversies over the years, with rumors linking him to actresses Pooja Bedi in the 1990s and later, Kangana Ranaut.
