Three Years After Their Fight, Sonu Nigam And Bhushan Kumar Hug It Out On Singer's Birthday
When Sonu made statements about the "mafia" of music in the country, the internet assumed he was referring to Bhushan.
New Delhi: Singer Sonu Nigam hosted a party to mark his 50th birthday on Saturday night. Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series, also attended the star-studded event. In 2020, Kumar and the famous playback singer had a nasty fight. But on Sonu Nigam's birthday, the two made up and rekindled their friendship.
When Sonu made statements about the "mafia" of music in the country, the internet assumed he was referring to Bhushan. Although the latter chose to keep quiet, his wife Divya Khosla Kumar had aggressively reacted to the accusations. Three years after the social media verbal brawl, Sonu and Bhushan have peacefully resolved all issues.
On social media, several videos and pictures from the event popped up. Sonu and Bhushan were seen hugging and wishing one other well in a video shared by a paparazzi account on Instagram. Sonu cut a huge cake at the celebration while Bhushan and other guests gathered around him to sing the birthday song. Along with entertaining his party guests, the singer also cracked open a bottle of champagne.
At the celebration, a number of notable people were spotted, including Anup Jalota, Mika Singh, Satish Shah, Jackie Shroff, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Sudesh Bhosale, and Rahul Vaidya.
All of this began in 2020, when Nigam released a video on his social media account and said he wouldn't be shocked if more people, especially aspiring singers, committed suicide in the future. In a video posted to social media, Sonu warned Bhushan, “Now, I need to take Bhushan Kumar’s name. You’ve instigated the wrong person. You forgot that time when you came to my home and pleaded me to do one album for you, pleaded me to introduce you to Subrata Roy, Smita Thackeray, Bal Thackeray… Pleaded me to save you from Abu Salem. Do you remember all this?"
"I’m warning you not to engage with me in any manner. Hope you remember Marina Kuwar. I don’t know why she backed out, though the media knows. That’s how mafia functions. I still have her video. Now if you mess with me, I will post that video on my YouTube channel. Don’t you dare mess with me,” he added.
While he made a few jabs, Bhushan kept quiet. However, his wife, Divya Khosla Kumar, criticised Sonu, alleging that he owed his successful career to Bhushan's late father, Gulshan Kumar.
