Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani’s Shershaah Co-Star Recalls When Sparks First Flew: ‘Where They Shot…’

Bollywood’s cherished couple, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, are all set to embrace parenthood as they prepare to welcome their first child.

Bollywood’s cherished couple, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, are all set to embrace parenthood as they prepare to welcome their first child. The duo, who tied the knot in a dreamy and intimate ceremony in 2023, recently shared the joyous news of their pregnancy—delighting fans and sparking a wave of love and celebration across social media.

Sidharth and Kiara's love story

Their heartwarming love story began on the sets of Shershaah (2020), the acclaimed war drama based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC). Though they kept their relationship private for years, their undeniable on-screen chemistry and subtle off-screen gestures hinted at something special blossoming between them.

Now, Shershaah co-star Himanshu Malhotra has offered a glimpse into those early moments of their bond. In a recent conversation with Indian Express’ SCREEN, he recalled sensing the budding romance during the film’s shoot.

“We didn’t know much about their love story, but we could sense it blooming. I think it was Palanpur where we saw both of them together. That’s where the funeral sequence was shot," he shared.

He added that this may have been one of the rare times the cast saw Kiara on location, as much of the filming later moved to Kargil. “I think the spark must just have started over there, probably where they shot the Chandigarh part. It must have escalated there," Himanshu said.

Reflecting on his experience with Sidharth, he also recalled the actor’s welcoming nature during the shoot. “The experience was nice. Sidharth was very warm and cordial."

About Shershaah

Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Shershaah marked a significant milestone not just in the professional journeys of Sidharth and Kiara, but also in their personal lives. The 2020 biographical war drama brought to screen the inspiring tale of Captain Vikram Batra, whose courage during the Kargil War earned him the Param Vir Chakra.

Sidharth Malhotra portrayed a dual role as Captain Batra and his twin brother Vishal, while Kiara played Dimple Cheema, Vikram’s fiancée.

On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra is gearing up for his upcoming film Param Sundari, while Kiara Advani will be seen in the highly anticipated War 2.
