Salman Khan's residence, the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, has got a major security revamp after a shooting incident was reported outside his home some eight months ago. The extensive upgrade in security has been reported by several sources, some of whom have sighted hi-tech security systems including bulletproof windows. 

Security system at Salman Khan’s residence 

As per an NDTV report, a new hi-tech security system has been installed with a high-resolution CCTV camera to spot any mysterious activity. Bulletproof glass has also been installed in his balcony from where Khan often waves and greets his fans. The megastar lives in a 1 BHK flat on the ground floor of Galaxy Apartments while his parents live on the first floor.

Firing incident outside Galaxy Apartments

For those unaware, last year on April 14, two men on a bike fired four rounds at Salman Khan's residence and fled the spot. It was later reported that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was behind the firing incident which had full intentions of harming him and his family members. 

Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently serving a long sentence in prison, has issued multiple threats against Khan in the past. The feud first began in 1998 after the blackbuck shooting case, for which Salman Khan was convicted. The Bishnoi community considers Blackbucks scared and the gangster had said that he would go after the actor. After several threats of the years, the April 14 firing incident escalated the entire situation involving Khan.

The situation worsened when in October, former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai. The 66-year-old politician is known to be close to Salman Khan. 

A key accused in the Baba Siddique murder case is Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol, who has been detained in the US. 

Mumbai police’s chargesheet mentioned the politician's close ties with Salman Khan as the key motive behind his murder.
