Priyanka Chopra Joins Oscar-Nominated Documentary 'To Kill A Tiger' As Executive Producer

The Oscar-nominated documentary 'To Kill a Tiger' has Priyanka Chopra on board as an executive producer.

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra continues to make waves in the global entertainment industry, not just as an actress but also as a producer championing meaningful projects. The latest addition to her repertoire is her role as an executive producer for the Oscar-nominated documentary 'To Kill A Tiger,' reported by Deadline. Directed by Nisha Pahuja, the film chronicles a father's relentless pursuit of justice after his 13-year-old daughter becomes a victim of sexual assault by three relatives. Joining Priyanka in this endeavour are fellow executive producers Dev Patel and Mindy Kaling.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram to share her heartfelt sentiments. She posted a trailer of the documentary along with a touching letter.

Recalling her initial encounter with the film at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022, Priyanka expressed her admiration for its compelling narrative. She stated, “I’m so proud to join the incredible team of the Academy Award-nominated documentary @tokillatigerdoc , and to announce that @netflix has acquired the global distribution rights to this powerful feature directed by @nishappics. When I first watched this film in 2022, I was immediately captivated by its poignant narrative, depicting a father’s valiant struggle within the judicial system to secure justice for his daughter. 'To Kill a Tiger', helmed by director Nisha Pahuja, has garnered an impressive collection of accolades worldwide. Among its achievements are Best Documentary at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, the Amplify Voices Award at TIFF, and the prestigious title of Best Feature Documentary at the Canadian Screen Awards.

Priyanka Chopra's recent projects include the highly anticipated Amazon Prime Video series ‘Citadel’. The versatile actor is gearing up to share the screen with Idris Elba and John Cena in the upcoming film ‘Heads of State’. Additionally, she is set to feature in the Russo Brothers' production titled ‘The Bluff’. Adding to her busy schedule, Priyanka has also been announced as one of the leads in Farhan Akhtar's upcoming movie ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
