Priyanka Chopra On Cultural Differences With Husband Nick Jonas: 'We Embraced Each Other's Cultures In A Big Way'

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra's career took a significant turn when she relocated from Mumbai to Los Angeles to pursue her aspirations. Beyond her professional pursuits, she has also embraced new cultural norms in her personal life. In a recent interview on Cavanaugh James's podcast, Priyanka discussed the adjustments she had to make after marrying Nick Jonas, shedding light on the cultural changes she has navigated through in her life.

During an interaction on the Read Room podcast, Priyanka Chopra shared her experiences on blending Indian and American customs as she got married to Nick Jonas. Talking about cultural norms and perspectives, the actor said, "He loved everything India, and I grew up in the States, it was literally my second home. She further added, “Before you finish your sentence, I know what you are saying so I am just going to tell you. That’s just how we are culturally. We are just like, ‘let’s just go!’. We are loud and every one speaks over each other. So for Nick, he had to learn to cut people off, he had to learn to speak over everyone. He is like, ‘aye, I am saying this!’. I had to learn how to wait, let someone finish their sentence. I’m like, ‘I know what you are saying but I’ll wait for you to finish’.”

Priyanka and Nick exchanged vows on December 1, 2018, in a lavish celebration at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace, featuring both Christian and Hindu ceremonies. Their union was further blessed with the arrival of their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, born on January 15, 2022. The couple shared the joyous news through a joint statement on Instagram. At present, Malti is two years old and frequently makes appearances in the couple's vacation snapshots shared on social media.
