Mithun Chakraborty Hospitalised In Kolkata
Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Saturday.
New Delhi: Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Saturday. Though the exact reason for his admission was not shared by his close associate, he said that the actor was feeling discomfort since morning and was thus taken to the hospital for prompt medical attention.
Mithun Chakraborty's close friend present in the hospital shared that there is no need to worry about the actor and that he is fine.
A source informed that the medical team is diligently looking after Mithun Da, as he is affectionately known among his fans.
While there were initial speculations about chest pain, a source from the hospital dismissed these claims, clarifying that Mithun Chakraborty was primarily feeling uneasy. Reports suggesting a brain stroke are also doing the rounds, but no official confirmation has been provided.
Mithun Chakraborty's son also shared with ABP News update about his father's health, "Papa is doing 100% well, and this is just a standard check-up. However, I appreciate your concern."
Mithun Chakraborty has been in Kolkata since last week and working on his upcoming Bengali film 'Shastri'.

He was a member of the Rajya Sabha in the past. Three National Film Awards for best actor have been given to him. The Indian government bestowed upon Chakraborty the third-highest civilian honor, the Padma Bhushan, in January 2024.
The Monarch Group, which has holdings in the hotel and educational industries, is owned by Chakraborty. Additionally, he founded Paparatzy Productions, a producing company. He founded the Cine & T.V Artistes Association (CINTAA) trust in 1992 with Dilip Kumar and Sunil Dutt to aid indigent performers.In addition, he served as the chair of the Film Studios Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union, which looks out for the welfare of moviegoers and handles their concerns.
