It appears that the director's home is where the pictures were taken. Madhuri, Dr. Shriram, and Subhash can be seen posing together in the balcony in the first picture. After then, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, and Sanjay Dutt joined Madhuri, Dr. Shriram, and Subhash in a group picture. More pictures from the dinner followed in the form of selfies.

Fans questioned whether Khalnayak 2 would happen shortly in the comments section of the post. "Khalnayak team ek sath (team reunited)" said one of them. Another said, "I think Kalnayak 2 is coming." "Missing Ramya Krishnan and Rakhee Ji in this get together," another person remarked.

Khalnayak continues to be one of Subhash Ghai's most well-known films. One of the highlights of Khalnayak was the song "Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai" by Madhuri and Neena Gupta.

Subhash Ghai told Mumbai Mirror in 2020 that a Khalnayak sequel was in the works. "We have only been creating content for the past six-seven months, but now I have two bound scripts ready: a remake of my first film, Kalicharan, and a sequel to Khal Nayak," he declared. There isn't a film update, though.
