New Delhi: Actress Hina Khan has been updating her Instagram followers on her health as she undergoes treatment for stage 3 breast cancer, which has understandably worried her legion of fans. A terrible side effect of treatment, mucositis, was highlighted by the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress in her most recent post. Hina Khan was quite open with her fans about her troubles and requested them to help.
In an Instagram post, Hina Khan shared, "Another side effect of chemotherapy is mucositis," describing the inability to eat that she has been experiencing. She wrote, “Although, I am following the doctors advice to treat it. If any of you have been through it or have known any useful Remedies. Please suggest. It’s really hard when you can’t eat. It will greatly help me.”

With the caption "Please suggest," she pleaded with her fans to pray for her and provide their support.
Chemotherapy's side effects include mucositis, which makes swallowing and eating very uncomfortable by inflaming and damaging the mucous membranes that line the throat, mouth, and digestive system.
Many internet users and admirers flooded Hina's post with well-wishes and suggestions after her post went viral. Others advised consuming fluids such as curd, water and lemon juice to keep hydrated, while yet others suggested using a specific mouthwash to alleviate throat inflammation.
While undergoing treatment, Hina Khan maintains an optimistic outlook, updating her admirers at every turn, and sharing her story to bring attention to the difficulties faced by those coping with cancer.

Earlier, Hina shared a heartfelt video update on her health struggle. She said, "Some days are hard, very very very hard. Some days are good. Like today is a good day. I feel nice, I feel better. And it's okay sometimes I vanish. I need that time to heal and to feel better."
