Richa Chadha Shares How An Insecure Male Actor Once Increased BGM In Her Dialogues
Richa Chadha talked about misconceptions within the industry about the insecurities of female actresses.
New Delhi: ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ is set to premiere on Netflix this week (May 1st), so the cast is going all out with the promotion. Recently, the stars of ‘Heeramandi’, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha and others joined for a conversation with ABPLive. During the chat, the actors discussed the prevailing insecurities in actors.
Talking about female actors being insecure, Richa Chadha said, “I am just saying that there are some misconceptions. This does not mean that every one of your female co-stars or every one of them is very good or not insecure, there are some who might cut your light. You encounter such co-actors in life.” In response, Manisha Koirala said that some of her heroes were also insecure.
Richa also unveiled one of the incidents from her career. She recounted a troubling encounter where an insecure male actor tried to overshadow her dialogues. “I know a male actor who increased the BGM in my dialogues,” she shared.

Manisha Koirala reflected on the collaborative spirit and shared dedication within the cast. She said, “In this particular work (Heeramandi), we all supported each other in some way. All of us tried to do our best. This is a golden opportunity for all of us. So, we should shine in our work and I think there is an undercurrent energy, an undercurrent vibe that we were supporting each other.”
